2017-10-10

Description:

  • The fault code P0007 indicates that the voltage detected in the Fuel shutoff valve A is higher than the normal limit.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Engine may not start or may stall

  • Decreased fuel efficiency

  • Rough or erratic engine idle

  • Poor acceleration or engine performance

  • Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty fuel shutoff valve

  • Open or short circuit in the fuel shutoff valve control circuit

  • Poor electrical connection in the fuel shutoff valve control circuit

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Fuel Shutoff Valve: On turning the car key off, the shut off valve cuts the air/fuel flow to the engine and the engine stops. This car's shut off valve has a problem which may cause the car to run inspite of key being turned off

Possible Solutions:

  • Inspect and replace the faulty fuel shutoff valve, if necessary

  • Check for any open or short circuits in the fuel shutoff valve control circuit and repair as needed

  • Ensure proper electrical connections in the fuel shutoff valve control circuit

  • Test and replace the engine control module (ECM) if it is determined to be faulty
