• Cylinder 1 is misfiring

Possible Symptoms:

  • A hard start or crank condition.

  • MIL being illuminated all the time

  • Engine damage

  • Traction control may fail

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty spark plug (s)

  • Faulty ignition coil (s)

  • Clogged or faulty fuel injector (s)

  • Intake Air leak

  • Fuel injectors harness is open or shorted

  • Fuel Injectors circuit poor electrical connection

  • Ignition Coils harness is open or shorted

  • Ignition Coils circuit poor electrical connection

  • Insufficient cylinders compression

  • Incorrect fuel pressure

Related Parts:

  • Crankshaft Position Sensor: The crankshaft position sensor monitors the position of the crankshaft to regulate fuel injection. Problems lead to engine misfire and engine stalling

Possible Solutions:

  • Repairs wires and/or connectors as necessary

  • Replaced optical sensor

  • Replaced PCM or ECM (Engine Control Module)

  • Visually inspect the solenoid harness and the solenoid for damage
