Description:

  • when the PCM detects an interrupted or erratic signal from the crankshaft position sensor or the distributor, a P0323 code will be stored.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Engine may stall or not start at all.

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty crankshaft position sensor

  • Sensor circuit for the ignition and/or distributor is shorted or open

  • Loose connection in the ignition or distributor’s engine speed sensor circuit

  • Low battery voltage

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)
