Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated
Rough idling or stalling
Decreased engine performance or power
Engine misfires
Poor fuel efficiency
Faulty camshaft position actuator solenoid
issues in the camshaft position actuator circuit, such as open or short circuits
Faulty camshaft position sensor
Engine oil contamination or low oil level
Timing chain or belt issues
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Camshaft Position Sensor: The camshaft position sensor monitors the position of the camshaft to regulate fuel injection. Problems lead to stalling or car failing to start.
Test and replace the faulty camshaft position actuator solenoid, if necessary
Check and repair any wiring issues in the camshaft position actuator circuit, such as open or short circuits
Test and replace the faulty camshaft position sensor, if necessary
Ensure the engine oil is at the correct level and free from contamination
Inspect and repair any timing chain or belt issues
Test and replace the engine control module (ECM) if it is determined to be faulty
