Illuminated check engine light
Engine running poorly or roughly
Decreased fuel efficiency
Increased emissions
A damaged or failed oxygen sensor
A corroded or damaged oxygen sensor wiring harness
A bad oxygen sensor relay or fuse
A problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Heated Oxygen Sensor: This is one of the parts that fails very commonly. It measures the amount of oxygen to ensure proper combustion. Problems in the Oxygen Sensor lead to poor fuel economy
Replace the faulty oxygen sensor
Repair any damaged wiring or connections
Replace the oxygen sensor relay or fuse if necessary
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if the problem persists
