Illuminated check engine light
Inaccurate temperature readings on the vehicle's display
Issues with the engine's performance and fuel efficiency, such as reduced power or acceleration, or poor gas mileage.
Failed ambient air temperature sensor
Damaged or faulty wiring in the sensor circuit
Loose or corroded electrical connections
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Ambient Air Temperature Sensor: This is usually located in the air inlet. It measures the outside air temperature. Problems here lead to engine stalling, lack of power and a noisy engine
Replace the ambient air temperature sensor
Check and repair any damaged or faulty wiring in the sensor circuit
Tighten or clean any loose or corroded electrical connections
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
