Illuminated check engine light
Poor fuel economy
Erratic or incorrect temperature readings
A/C may not work properly
Faulty ambient air temperature sensor
Corroded or damaged wiring in the circuit
Loose or corroded electrical connections
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Ambient Air Temperature Sensor: This is usually located in the air inlet. It measures the outside air temperature. Problems here lead to engine stalling, lack of power and a noisy engine
Replace the ambient air temperature sensor
Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections
Tighten or clean any loose or corroded electrical connections
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
