Illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or Check Engine Light (CEL)
Decreased engine performance or power
Rough idling or stalling
Poor fuel efficiency
Possible misfires or hesitation during acceleration
Faulty exhaust valve control solenoid
Wiring or connector issues in the solenoid circuit
Open circuit or high resistance in the solenoid circuit
Malfunctioning engine control module (ECM)
Exhaust Valve: The exhaust gases after combustion are sent out of the engine through the exhaust valve. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit
Inspect the exhaust valve control solenoid and its wiring for any visible damage or loose connections
Measure the solenoid's resistance to ensure it falls within the specified range
Check for signs of corrosion or moisture in the solenoid or its connector
Replace the exhaust valve control solenoid if it is found to be faulty
If necessary, diagnose the ECM for any potential faults and replace if required
