Description:

  • Issue detected in the system that relieves high fuel pressure

Possible Symptoms:

  • Decrease in fuel economy due to inoperative intake air temperature sensor

  • Crank, but no start

  • Problems with a particular system indicating a possible communication loss in this area

  • Engine failure

Possible Causes:

  • Faulty fuel pressure sensor

  • Fuel pressure sensor harness is open or shorted

  • Fuel pressure sensor electrical circuit poor connection

  • Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Fuel Pressure Sensor: Fuel pressure sensor monitors the fuel pressure and returns any excess fuel to the tank. Problems lead to engine misfire, poor fuel economy & poor acceleration

Possible Solutions:

  • Inspects the intake air temperature sensor and wiring for damages
