P0105

2017-10-10

Description:

  • The fault code P0105 indicates that there is a malfunction in the circuit that controls the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) or Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor. This may cause the engine to run poorly, decrease fuel efficiency, and may affect other vehicle functions.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Decreased fuel efficiency

  • Poor engine performance, such as rough idle or hesitation

  • Engine stalls or does not start

Possible Causes:

  • Damaged or failed MAP/BARO sensor

  • Faulty or corroded wiring or connections in the circuit

  • Vacuum leaks or clogged air intake system

  • Failed engine control module (ECM)

Related Parts:

  • Manifold Pressure Sensor: Manifold Pressure sensor measures the pressure of air flowing in the engine from outside to ensure proper fuel combustion. This car's malfunctioning pressure sensor will lead to engine misfire, poor fuel economy & rough running

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the MAP/BARO sensor

  • Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections

  • Check and repair any vacuum leaks or clogs in the air intake system

  • Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
