Decreased fuel efficiency
Poor engine performance
Check engine light may illuminate
Increased emissions
Failed oxygen sensor
Bad electrical connection within the circuit
Corroded or damaged wiring
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Oxygen Sensor: This is one of the parts that fails very commonly. It measures the amount of oxygen to ensure proper combustion. Problems in the Oxygen Sensor lead to poor fuel economy
Replace the oxygen sensor
Inspect the wiring and connections for any damage or corrosion and repair or replace as needed
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
