Experience a loss of power.
Engine may stall while driving
The engine oil will exhibit dilution
Faulty Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor
Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor harness is open or shorted
Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
Fuel Temperature Sensor: The fuel temperature sensor measures the temperature of the fuel in the fuel injector. Problems with this sensor lead to engine misfire, engine stalling
Check for voltage at each fuel injector
If the crankshaft position sensor is not damaged, perform a test on the ignition switch and lock cylinder using the manufacturer's recommended procedure. If any issues are found during this test, the ignition switch or lock cylinder can be replaced
If no issues were found with the ignition switch or lock cylinder, test the engine shutoff solenoid for proper function.
As long as no issues are found with the operation of the cooling fan, the mechanic would then use an infrared thermometer to check the cooling system for hot spots
