What P0323 means
- when the PCM detects an interrupted or erratic signal from the crankshaft position sensor or the distributor, a P0323 code will be stored.
Possible symptoms
- Illuminated check engine light
- Engine may stall or not start at all.
Possible causes
- Faulty crankshaft position sensor
- Sensor circuit for the ignition and/or distributor is shorted or open
- Loose connection in the ignition or distributor’s engine speed sensor circuit
- Low battery voltage
- Failed engine control module (ECM)
