Illuminated check engine light
Failed emissions test
Fuel smell near the vehicle
Decreased fuel efficiency
Faulty evaporative emission control system pressure sensor
Wiring or connections in the circuit are damaged or corroded
A leak in the evaporative emission control system
The purge or vent solenoid is stuck open or closed
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Pressure Sensor: The EVAP system prevents petrol vapors from escaping into the atmosphere from the fuel tank and fuel system. The pressure sensor monitors the pressure in the EVAP system. Problems in this car's flow valve will lead to fuel loss
Replace the evaporative emission control system pressure sensor
Check and repair any damaged or corroded wiring or connections in the circuit
Locate and repair any leaks in the evaporative emission control system
Replace the purge or vent solenoid if necessary
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
