P0847

2017-10-10

Description:

  • The fault code P0847 signifies that the transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch ‘B’ circuit is experiencing low voltage. This can result in various issues such as transmission slipping, reduced fuel efficiency, and/or the transmission shifting rough.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Transmission slipping

  • Reduced fuel efficiency

  • Rough shifting

Possible Causes:

  • Malfunctioning transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch

  • Damaged or faulty wiring or connections in the circuit

  • Malfunctioning transmission control module (TCM)

Related Parts:

  • Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor: Gear fluid line delivers gear fluid/oil between the various gear parts that need lubrication. The Gear fluid line pressure Sensor monitors the fluid pressure in the line. Problems lead to difficulty in shifting gears

Possible Solutions:

  • Replace the transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch

  • Inspect and repair any damaged wiring or connections

  • Replace the transmission control module (TCM) if necessary
