Description:

  • The fault code P0920 indicates that there is an issue with the circuit that controls the gear shift forward actuator. This may cause the transmission to not shift properly, or not shift at all.

Possible Symptoms:

  • Transmission not shifting properly, or not shifting at all

  • Illuminated check engine light

  • Reduced engine power or acceleration

  • Harsh shifting or slipping transmission

Possible Causes:

  • Failed gear shift forward actuator

  • Faulty wiring or connections in the circuit

  • Loose or corroded electrical connections

  • Failed transmission control module (TCM)
