Illumination of the check engine light
Abnormal or harsh shifting of gears
Transmission slipping or difficulty in engaging gears
Reduced power or poor acceleration
Potential drivability issues or abnormal vehicle behavior
Malfunctioning hydraulic pressure unit
Low transmission fluid level or contaminated fluid
Blocked or restricted hydraulic passages
Faulty transmission control module (TCM)
Electrical or wiring issues related to the hydraulic pressure unit
Hydraulic Pressure Sensor: Hydraulic oil is needed for the gear lubrication system. This sensor measures oil pressure. This car's sensor has a problem which may cause difficulty in shifting gears
Inspect the transmission fluid level and condition. Top up the fluid if it is low and replace it if it is contaminated.
Check for any blockages or restrictions in the hydraulic passages and clean or repair them as necessary.
Test the hydraulic pressure unit using suitable diagnostic tools to determine if it is functioning correctly. Replace the unit if it is found to be faulty.
Inspect the electrical connections, wiring, and connectors associated with the hydraulic pressure unit. Repair or replace any damaged or faulty components.
If other possible causes have been ruled out, consider testing and potentially replacing the transmission control module (TCM) if it is suspected to be faulty.
